Rosa Elmore Ferguson is the author of LOVED TO DEATH: A Different Kind of Love Story and LOVED TO DEATH: The Truth Unfolds. LOVED TO DEATH: The City Speaks will be out in early 2011.
Born Infant Sleigh, Mrs. Ferguson, and adoptee, has been searching for her biology for over forty years. Rosa uses her writing to release the frustration and anger caused by failed attempts to find out who she is and where she came from. The author would like her readers to have a better understanding of what can happen when they become a part of an unsuccessful adoption triad.
Mrs. Ferguson is the proud mother of two sets of twins and currently resides in Olive Branch, MS with her husband.
In LOVED TO DEATH: A Different Kind of Love Story and the sequel, LOVED TO DEATH: The Truth Unfolds readers are introduced to a fictional Gaston City, Indiana and will see it through the eyes of Morosa Denise McKinley. Morosa is the adopted daughter of Morrow and Rose McKinley. Adoption, love, murder and intrigue seem to rule the day with the underlying theme being the pitfalls of adoption and what happens when a person isn't allowed to know the truth about themselves. These are the first two books in the LOVED TO DEATH short story trilogy

Yolanda,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for having me on The Author's Hideway!
Rosa,
ReplyDeleteThank you for being here! I have to tell you that I read your first book, Loved to Death: A Different Kind of Love Story and now I am reading Loved to Death: The Truth Unfolds and am excited to read your 3rd installment of the Trilogy.
Can you please tell us if you've gotten any closer to finding your birth parents?
Based on what I have read here, I look forward to reading this. Congratulations!

I have a guardian angel who has volunteered to take on the search for my birth parents. We have gotten bits and pieces of information, but not enough to put the puzzle together. Recently a Confidential Intermediary was able to obtain my records through the court system, but she was not at liberty to give me the information. My biggest fear is that I will find my birth mother and birth father after they are deceased and won't be able to establish a friendship with them.
ReplyDeleteAngelia.. thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteRosa, I read both books in the trilogy I CAN"T WAIT for the last installment. I loved your characters, where do you find inspiration for them?
ReplyDeleteFrom your two sets of twins, we're proud of you! Continue to do what you were born to do - CREATE!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the word is getting out about your writing, I've enjoyed both books.
ReplyDeleteHey Rosa. Long time no hear from LOL. I read Loved the Death: A Different kine od Love Story. I have to get the second one but I love your work
ReplyDeleteHi Rosa, I'm an aspiring writer but I've been putting it off for a long time. I guess I just feel overwhelmed. What do you suggest I do to start?
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThe inspiration for my characters comes from several sources! Morosa in the trilogy came to me in the form of a dream. Once the story started taking shape, my imagination took over and that's where the other characters came from. A few of my characters are compilations of several people I've known through the years! Good question. Thanks for asking!
Damon, Demond, Samantha and Samara!
ReplyDeleteI love you so much and the four of you have been my greatest creation!!!!!
Demetrius,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your support!
LaDena,
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time!!! Let's reconnect soon. You have got to read the second book, the characters really came into their own! Thank you for supporting me!
Lynda,
ReplyDelete"A journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step"!
Sometimes I write by jotting random thoughts and then when I start writing a story, I can insert those thoughts where needed. Sometimes, I make an outline of what I want to write. Sometimes, I just sit down at the computer and just start writing. Remember, writing can be overwhelming but once you see that finished product...wow!
Good luck in your writing career.
Thanks Rosa. You've inspired me
ReplyDeleteLynda, I can't wait to read your first book!
ReplyDeleteRosa,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your success of the first, second, and now third book in this particular trilogy. I was literally on the edge of my seat while reading A Different Kind of Love Story. Will this trilogy be the last of Morosa? Will we read about her in later works? Where will your writing take us next?
@Anonymous:
ReplyDeleteYou asked a great question! I think we will finally let Morosa rest in peace after the third book! I will miss her because she has been a big part of my life for several years now. But who knows, Morosa may decide that she has more to say and if that happens, I will mention her from time to time.
I have a 300 page manuscript that was written over the course of five or six years. That piece of work stood quietly by while Morosa and Gaston City, Indiana took over my life. I think I will dust it off and give it life. The working title is MIRRORED MIRAGE and is about an adoptee who can't see her face in the mirror!
Thanks for asking!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Rosa Elmore Ferguson
Rosa,
ReplyDeleteI'm a writer and I've noticed that I'll start a project and get inspired to start writing something entirely different. How do you stay focused to finish an entire book?
