Author Mary E. Glider’s entertaining book, A Misrepresentation of Myself, will have readers thinking hard about their past demons and how to deal with them.
The book is appropriately titled and chronicles the personal and professional life of Zolla Ramsey. She puts up a good front about her marriage until Maxwell Garrison enters her life. His patient persistence has her quickly falling for him. This has made her reevaluate her life and her past.
This book will touch many aspects of what some women and men are going through regarding relationships with a spouse and/or a mother.
Clayton Ramsey, Zolla’s husband, has lost touch with his feelings and what is truly important in life. He has gotten caught up with materialistic things which are something a lot of men can relate to. Though Zolla is the main character, I would like to have seen a little more background on her husband Clayton.
Over all, the book was insightful and both men and women can relate to the subject. I was also impressed with the questionnaire in the back of book for reading groups to discuss.
I truly recommend Author Mary E. Glider’s book, A Misrepresentation of Myself. Good luck on your future novels.
