Author Felecia Killings has put together a poignant book on racial tensions within our school system.  Her strength as an activist is to be commended and appreciated in these trying times.

It was refreshing to see how she looked to her faith for strength and direction in the face of negative situations.  Ms. Killings was very good at telling her story and had documentation to collaborate her story.

Even though I felt some of the documentation was a bit much, it did not take away from her story.  I was very impressed with most of the book, but was a little confused with the last chapter.  I know at the time the author could not go in great detail in some instances of the story, but I felt that last chapter could have been left out until the sequel, which should tie up any loose ends.  Over all, the book kept my interest and I feel we have not heard the last of author Felecia S. Killings.

  1. Felicia Killings has admitted and been sentenced to jail time for having sex with a 16 year old student of hers. Why again is anyone promoting this sex offenders book?
