Bio
Caramel Vixen is a native of North Carolina, where she resides with her family. She also juggles being a full time student and computer lab tutor on her campus.
Caramel ‘s debut Novella “Office Affairs” was originally published in e-book format from Lady Leo Publishing. Ms. Vixen is extremely proud to announce that her “baby” Office Affairs is now a novel available now from Xpress Yourself Publishing
Ms. Vixen’s latest work is short story, “Merriest Time of All” featured in After Dark Delights anthology. She is currently working on her next novel, Things I Learned from His Father.

What made you decide to become an author?
I was writing, for myself, simply trying to heal my own soul after my marriage broke up, and I posted it on my “myspace” blog and the rest is history.

What do you enjoy most about being an author?
I love the connections that I have made with readers and other authors.

If you could meet one author, who would it be?
Maya Angelou

How are you giving back to the literary community?
I’m always participating in book drives and fundraisers for different causes.

Give one tip you would give new authors?
Research everything you can on your subject, your target audience, and how to reach them.

What is the biggest lesson you've learned since becoming an author?
The biggest lesson that I’ve learned since becoming an author is that it takes lots of money to promote properly, and in the beginning you’ll spend more than you make. But, the struggle is so worth it.

What is the one thing that irks you about the literary industry?
People who have been in the industry for a while, looking down upon those who aren’t famous yet. Everyone should remember that we all had t o start at the bottom. Some authors simply have the resources to make it to the top much sooner than others.
